Senior Inspector Role
This is your opportunity to work in the thriving regional centre of Bundaberg and the greater Wide Bay Burnett district.
In this role, you will provide expert technical advice and management to maintenance projects ensuring a high standard of quality, economy and safety are achieved. You will also provide high-level specialist technical advice and support to the transport infrastructure functional areas in the district.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer the delivery of construction and/or maintenance projects including programming, monitoring of expenditure, controlling, and reviewing of project priorities.
* Review of contractors' program of works, quality, environment, safety, and traffic management plans, identify deficiencies and monitoring external contractors to ensure adherence to relevant workplace health and safety requirements.
* Conduct and/or manage audits of contractors' works, processes and quality records to ensure compliance with governance and contract conditions.
* Maintain and/or manage the collection of detailed records (diaries, test results, photos) and reports at a standard suitable for presentation in a legal environment.
* Provide regular advice to the Superintendent on contractor performance, including hold points, NCR's, CAR's and general progress against project plans.
* Review documentation and provide feedback on departmental specifications and procedures.
* Investigate complaints and requests for action from the public in relation to road network operations.
* Liaise and communicate with the community, local authorities, utilities, local Government and developers on all aspects of operations in the delivery of transport infrastructure.
Reporting Line:
This role reports to the Principal Engineer.
Qualifications and Conditions:
* Possession of a class 'C' driver's licence will be necessary to undertake duties.
* Participation in the TMR Road and Infrastructure Inspector Career Development Framework.
