About the Role As the Chef Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the catering department, managing a team of food services staff, and ensuring compliance with all food safety and aged care standards.
Key Responsibilities Plan and review menus in consultation with residents, dietitians, and management, ensuring meals meet nutritional standards and resident preferences.
Maintain clear documentation of residents' dietary needs, preferences, and assistive requirements.
Develop, document, and adapt recipes to meet cultural, spiritual, and special dietary needs.
Oversee ordering and stock control to align with menu requirements and budgets.
Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the Food Safety Program.
Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, ensuring they are served at the correct temperature and consistency.
Address resident feedback and lead a culture of continuous improvement in the kitchen.
What We're Looking For Minimum 1 year of experience in a residential aged care setting (more preferred).
Several years' experience in a Chef Supervisor or Head Chef role.
A genuine passion for creating meals that support health, enjoyment, and dignity in aged care.
Strong leadership skills, diplomatic, confident, and approachable, with the ability to lead a diverse team.
A desire to build a long-term career in a purpose-driven, stable organisation.
