About the role: Reporting to the Occupational Therapy Manager, this role is responsible for providing assistance and support to the occupational therapy team in the delivery of allied health services to patients/clients of the Flinders Medical Centre under the supervision of an allied health professional. Duties for the role will include: Working under the direction of the supervising allied health professional to implement prescribed therapy / exercise programs for individuals or groups of patients. This may include functional retraining in activities of daily living. Administrative tasks directly related to a patient intervention or episode of care, Assist in maintaining, repairing and cleaning patient equipment. About you: Must be eligible to undertake Allied Health Assistance Certificate Level 3 training or equivalent, Ability to work under close supervision and direction from Allied Health Professionals, Sound communication and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate patients to effectively participate with prescribed therapy programs Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and/or handling of patient related equipment of devices Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
