Project Manager (AO6)
We are partnering with a government client to recruit an experienced Project Manager (AO6) based in Rockhampton. This is a pivotal leadership role supporting the delivery of project management consulting services and contributing to the growth and sustainability of Queensland's building and construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end building projects, including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction.
* Coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
* Deliver projects in line with scope, time, cost, quality, and cash‐flow requirements.
* Oversee contract administration across traditional and non‐traditional contract systems.
* Engage with clients daily to ensure expectations are met and outcomes achieved.
* Lead negotiations with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to deliver value‐for‐money solutions.
* Monitor and control project performance, including reporting on time and cost variances.
* Conduct project audits and ensure quality assurance standards are maintained.
* Support fee determination, client billing processes, and financial performance targets.
About You
* Proven experience managing building or construction projects end‐to‐end.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a deadline‐driven environment.
* High‐level communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong commercial acumen and attention to quality.
* Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning, Quantity Surveying).
