Role Overview
We're looking for a talented Sous Chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and wants to be part of something exciting. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be a key leader in our kitchen.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations.
Lead and mentor kitchen staff during service.
Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.
Manage stock, ordering, and wastage control.
Requirements
Qualification: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of full-time work experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a similar busy environment.
Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills; excellent time management under pressure.
Availability: Must be available to work a full-time rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
