As a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll report to the Regional Clinical Manager for the ACT. Providing support to a caseload of participants, you'll play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes and assisting with the implementation of plans. You'll assist the Regional Clinical Manager with providing clinical supervision and may also support participants with particularly challenging and complex needs.
The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct behavioural interventions for participants in individual and group sessions
* Support employees with clinical techniques training
* Assist the Regional Clinical Manager with clinical supervision
* Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
* Maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders
* Collaborate with professionals such as doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
* A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
* Strong experience in Positive Behaviour Support services
* Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to supervise a team
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
* Current NDIS Screening and Working with Children Checks
* Valid driver's licence and vehicle
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
