You have hands-on financial accounting experience and knowledge as finance/commercial manager reporting into Executive and Division level.

About the Role
We are on the hunt for a passionate Financial Commercial Manager responsible for providing commercial and financial advice, direction and leadership to the Traffic Camera Service (TCS) Senior Management team. You will be responsible and manage the commercial and financial aspects of the TCS contract in accordance with Serco policies, procedures, guiding principles, strategies and objectives. The role report directly into the General Manager TCS and the CS Commercial & Finance Director.
**Key Accountabilities**:
Provide strategic and day to day commercial & financial leadership and advice to the Contract Senior Management Team (SMT); including strategic commercial & financial leadership on evaluation of proposals and other investments
Ensure the adequacy of financial resources and financial disciplines to underpin the achievement of Contract strategy and objectives
Establish personal credibility and credibility of the Contract commercial function throughout the Contract organization as an effective partner in managing the Contract. Set an example of collaborative leadership and teamwork
Financial Management & Reporting
Provide strategic financial advice, planning and analysis and be involved in the End of Month process working with the CS Finance Teams.
Ensure the provision of accurate monthly financial accounting and management information to senior management (i.e. Balance Sheet, P&L's, cash flow, CAPEX, etc)
Ensure the provision of a monthly report on delivery of business KPIs for the both the customer and Serco.
Review performance against budget and performance targets with the General Manager on a monthly basis
Commercial Services
Develop, review and cost submissions to customer for contract variations (Work Changes Orders)
Negotiation of any invoicing, price and contract variations with the customer
Manage the impact of the Contract KPIs regime on pricing and profitability
Negotiate any recommended changes to the KPI regime with the customer and incorporate contract changes where appropriate
Negotiate with key subcontractors and suppliers from time to time on commercial matters to ensure continued delivery of service
Work closely with the TCS Assurance Manager to assess on a regular basis the impact on profitability of any Assurance, rostering and KPI regime initiatives/issues
**To be successful you will have**:
Experience as a finance and/or commercial manager reporting into Executive or Board level
Experience in business growth success and the bidding/tendering process
Experience in commercial negotiations
Conduct of senior level relationships in government and business in a highly competitive environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or another relevant discipline.
Qualified Accountant to internationally recognised standard. [Australian CA or CPA or equivalent]
