The Data Engineering team plays a critical role in enabling intelligent, responsible and scalable data-use across the organisation - ensuring our people can make the most of their data by providing a cloud-based data platform on AWS and Databricks, Power BI and other tools. As a Data Engineer, you will design, build and support the cloud-native data platform and its pipelines and services that power analytics, ML/AI, and operational data products across the business. You’ll work as part of multidisciplinary teams to solve real business problems, contribute to the evolution of our data platforms, and help shape the engineering culture and standards within Reecetech.‑native data platform and its pipelines and services that power analytics, machine learning, and operational data products across the business. Key responsibilities You will: Contribute to reecetech’s data cloud ecosystem — including AWS, Databricks, and emerging tools. Develop high quality, reusable code and patterns for ingestion, modelling, storage, and orchestration. Implement data quality, observability, and governance practices to ensure reliable and trustworthy data products. Work closely with analysts, AI/ML engineers, product teams, and domain experts to understand problems and deliver fit for purpose data solutions. Contribute to greenfield data platform enhancement initiatives. Collaborate with other data engineers to shape the way the team operates end-to-end data solutions About you You are an enthusiastic data professional who: Brings integrity, empathy and a growth mindset into everything you do Has a customer centric approach to problem solving, along with solid organisational skills and an ability to prioritise tasks Has experience working with modern cloud data platforms — preferably AWS and Databricks – and developing data pipelines using Python/PySpark. Has developed strong SQL skills for data modelling, transformation, and analytical workloads. Understands modern data warehousing, ETL/ELT patterns, and data modelling concepts.
