These professional positions, within the high‑performing Engineering Division, deliver efficient, timely and high‑quality procurement and project management services to support all sections across Council. They provide expert assistance in sourcing goods, materials and licensed services through effective contractual arrangements, ensuring the organisation receives accurate and reliable procurement advice.We’re seeking professionals with strong experience in project management, construction management, and contract and/or procurement management, supported by excellent communication skills. About The Role
Provide efficient, timely and high‑quality procurement and project management services with a strong client‑focused approach.Act as one of Council’s specialist subject matter experts in contract management and administration, applying technical knowledge across Water, Sewerage, Civil, Structural, Building, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering.Ensure procurement activities are delivered cost‑effectively and in accordance with the NSW Local Government (Tendering) Regulation and Council’s Procurement Policy, while proactively managing contracts and coordinating goods and services.Provide professional and technical advice, review and supervision of contracts, engineering designs and construction methods for civil, mechanical, electrical and building works.Operate with a high level of independence and initiative, demonstrating strong communication skills, adaptability, attention to detail and the capacity to support team members and work across different sections during periods of high demand.

An attractive base salary depending upon skills, knowledge and experience. The Job Grade will be determined by the panel as follows:
Job Grade 7 -from $98,191 with increments up to $113,007 plus 12% superJob Grade 8- from $119,030 with increments up to $132,348 plus 12% superVehicle allowance may be available, subject to role requirements70-hour, 9 day fortnighttraining and development opportunitiesflexible work options for a healthy work/life balancegenerous employment conditions (we have too many to list -click herefor more).
We Are Seeking
Someone with a degree qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Procurement or a related discipline,orextensive experience and demonstrated competence in a similar role.High‑level capability in project management, including managing multiple, multidisciplinary engineering projects simultaneously.Strong expertise in contract management, including procurement risk assessment, tendering processes, evaluation, contract supervision and close‑out.Extensive technical and practical experience in the construction of engineering infrastructure.Thorough knowledge of contract law and contractual arrangements relevant to procurement and project delivery.Sound understanding of current industry trends, best practice and emerging priorities in contracts management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively, build relationships and resolve conflicts.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines across project and program delivery.Demonstrated experience acting as a Superintendent’s Representative or Authorised Person within a contract environment.
