About the role
As a Café Disability Support Worker (DSW), you will provide hands-on mentoring to participants in the program to build their self-confidence, barista, food preparation and customer service skills and employability qualities.
This position will ultimately support NDIS participants develop their personal & professional skills that will improve their independence and opportunities for securing employment.
This is a casual position, covering opening hours of 7.00am - 3.00pm.
This is an incredibly rewarding chance for either a qualified DSW or hospitality professional to grow into another industry while continuing to support individuals with a disability.
About you
You will be an experienced Disability Support Worker, along with your disability expertise, you will have customer service and barista experience within the hospitality industry.
Skills, experience & requirements
- Experience in the hospitality and/or disability sector
- Certificate IV Disability or similar
- Food Safety Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Outstanding Customer service skills
- Great communication, organisation and time management skills
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children’s Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
