 
        
        OverviewCarpenterThe closing date is 05 October 2025.We are looking to recruit a skilled tradesperson / Carpenter with a friendly and positive "can do" attitude.
You will attend to carpentry repairs and PPM duties.
You will have the skills and expertise to identify problems and fix issues within the NHS and Trust owned or run properties in the surrounding area.
You will carry out varied carpentry duties to a competent standard, work in a team or undertake standalone tasks, and focus on delivering a quality finish to meet customers' high expectations.
You will conduct work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, codes of practice, safe systems of work and recognised industry standards to minimise damage to the fabric of the property and to create minimal disruptions to patients and visitors.

Main duties of the jobA Carpenter/Joiner will perform work appropriate to their core specialist skills and level of qualification.Carry out routine and non-routine, non-complex and complex repairs and routine planned maintenance activities as directed by management.Ensure compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.Taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment.Carry out additional work involving glazing, locksmithing, scaffolding and wood machinery as required.Use complex carpentry equipment and machinery in accordance with all legislative and statutory guidance.Carry out new work, installation and refurbishment throughout the Trust.Carry out glazing repairs as required.Carry out installation and repairs to metal and fibre ceilings.Communicate with ward managers, department managers, patients, visitors and other Trust staff.
