About the role
This is a key position within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, responsible for teaching and coordinating nursing courses in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The role also supports high‐quality teaching informed by research and incorporates innovative online learning activities and assessments to ensure a high level of student satisfaction and effective pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the preparation and delivery of substantial components of courses.
* Prepare and deliver curriculum components aligned with the staff member's disciplinary and professional background.
* Provide leadership to other staff within the teaching team.
* Undertake a range of activities to ensure the ongoing improvement of teaching practice.
* Attend school meetings as required and participate in school and university‐wide committees and activities.
* Contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning and/or professional practice within the discipline.
* Demonstrate a commitment to seeking and responding to feedback (from students, peers, and supervisors) to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications, skills & experience
* Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent, and a minimum postgraduate certificate qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Current registration as a nurse with AHPRA.
* At least three years of clinical nursing experience.
* Demonstrated ability to develop teaching resources and deliver courses in a variety of formats, including the effective use of online learning management systems within a tertiary environment.
* Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Experience in teaching within a tertiary environment.
