About the Job
We are seeking an Employment Consultant to join our team at MatchWorks, a group of passionate and driven individuals who want everyone's lives to be happier and healthier. As an Employment Consultant, you will use your skills to support and guide clients to attain suitable, meaningful employment opportunities that lead to sustainable employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders as part of managing the referral & intake process of job seekers into their chosen program.
* Assess job seeker skills, abilities, and identify barriers and intervention strategies.
* In consultation with our job seekers, develop and maintain work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, tailored interventions (including other service providers), and employment support activities.
* Reverse market job seekers to achieve sustainable employment opportunities.
* Provide pre-employment assistance through vocational counselling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment.
Requirements
* You are self-driven, resilient, and experienced in Customer Service.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to use computer systems, with excellent data accuracy & note-taking.
* Build rapport and maintain relationships with clients, peers, and job seekers.
* Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening check or are willing to obtain one.
