Disability Support Worker – Work Connections (Retail)
Location: C2A Traralgon Op Shop
Hours: Fridays 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Saturdays 9.00 AM – 1:30 PM

Are you passionate about making a difference and supporting people to learn new skills? Join our team at the Traralgon Op Shop as a Disability Support Worker (DSW) in our Work Connections program, where you'll help supported employees develop and apply retail skills in a real-world setting.
About the Role
* Work alongside supported employees and community volunteers in a busy retail environment.
* Support individuals to build confidence and independence through hands-on retail tasks.
* Assist with day-to-day operations of the Op Shop, including customer service, merchandising, and cash handling.
* Act as a backup for the Senior Support – Retail, providing coverage for leave and unplanned absences.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive workplace.
* For those with a Cert III in Individual Support or higher, there will be opportunity to work at our community site inTraralgon. Additionally, our Traralgon site will soon expand into gardening and car washing supported employment, creating additional hours and variety.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide guidance and support to supported employees in retail tasks.
* Maintain a welcoming and organised shop environment.
* Foster teamwork and positive engagement with volunteers and customers.
* Uphold workplace health and safety standards.
* Assist with stock management and visual merchandising.
* Step into a leadership role when required to ensure smooth operations.
