Rowing is a valued part of the College's co-curricular life and plays an important role in fostering teamwork, resilience, discipline, and school spirit among our students. We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals who have a passion for rowing and the ability to contribute to a positive and supportive sporting environment. We are currently seeking applications for the following opportunities, which may be appointed as a combined role or as two separate positions depending on the experience and skills of applicants:

Head of Rowing Boat Master

These roles work closely together to support the successful operation of the St Patrick's College rowing program. The Head of Rowing is 30.4 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE) leading and coordinating the rowing program, including training, coaching coordination, and regatta participation. The Boat Master is 15.2 hours per fortnight (0.2 FTE) overseeing the care, maintenance, and management of the boatshed, boats, and rowing equipment, ensuring students have access to safe and well-maintained equipment.

Together, these roles play an important part in ensuring the effective operation of the College rowing program and in maximising the contribution of rowing to the quality and holistic Catholic educational experience provided by St Patrick's College.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.

About You

The successful applicant(s) will demonstrate:

* A passion for rowing and supporting students in a positive and inclusive sporting environment
* Experience in rowing, coaching, or the maintenance and management of boats and rowing equipment
* Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills
* The ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and the wider rowing community
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines
* An understanding of Work Health and Safety practices, particularly in a sporting or boating environment
* A commitment to student safety, wellbeing, and the values and mission of St Patrick's College as a Catholic school

St Patrick's is a Catholic co-educational Year 7-12 college of approximately 1,500 students with a strong academic culture that encourages individual students to develop to their full potential through a broad educational experience. The College is structured into a three school model of learning, incorporating the Middle School (Years 7 and 8), Croagh Patrick (Year 9) and Senior School (Years 10-12).
