Job Description
As a Mechanical Fitter at Bentley Industrial, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' industrial machinery and contributing to the fabrication/machining of stainless and steel products.
Trades person's or 4th year apprentices finishing their trade are encouraged to apply!
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Performing mechanical repairs and maintenance across a wide range of industries like FMCG Food industry, Warehousing & Manufacturing.
* Workshop machining with manual machine tools, lathe, mill, radial drill etc.
* Conducting welding and fabrication tasks on stainless and steel products.
* Interpreting basic drawings to execute fabrication projects accurately.
* Occasionally working independently to complete assigned tasks.
* Adhering to safety guidelines and promoting a safe work environment.
Qualifications and Skills: To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Trade qualification in Fitting & Turning (Engineering trade cert 3)
* Australian citizenship is required for this position.
* Proven experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance of industrial machinery, particularly within the food industry.
* Minimum 3-5 years of mechanical repair experience is required.
* Skills in welding and fabrication of stainless and steel products. Tig & Mig Welding. Or willing to learn and have an active interest in expanding your skills.
* Basic welding experience is preferred for this role.
* Ability to interpret basic drawings and execute fabrication projects accordingly.
* Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
* Self-motivated and reliable with the ability to work independently when necessary.
* Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Benefits and Compensation: Bentley Industrial offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and skill level. The hourly rate is negotiable based on factors such as employment type (Full time or ABN holder). Company Ute and phone negotiable based on wages.
Work Schedule: You will be primarily based at our workshop in Peats Ridge, with on-site work on the Central Coast or in Sydney. This provides an excellent balance between a dedicated workshop environment and the opportunity to work on-site in various locations. We offer a 4 day week (negotiated RDO) 6am to 4pm, with plenty of overtime available. A reasonable amount of overtime is expected within the team, happy to discuss this during an interview.
