About the role
Key duties of the role
- Foster a collaborative, team-based approach across IP Wards, MDU, CAVUCS, and administrative services.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline administrative processes for patients, consumers, and staff.
- Coordinate and lead change in key administrative functions such as registration, booking, admission, and discharge, ensuring consistency across all services.
- Promote and maintain high standards of data integrity within the Sunrise EMR system.
- Resolve complex enquiries and consumer complaints, acting as a patient advocate in all administrative matters.
Skills and Experience
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with a variety of staff within a large multidisciplinary team.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate staff working in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and prioritise own workloads as well as monitor the overall service delivery of the units within the role’s remit.
- Proven experience in staff management, leadership, performance development and coordinating service to patient care.
- Significant experience in implementing and managing a roster that supports extended service within the context of a hospital environment.
