We're seeking a seasoned Boiler Fabrication Specialist to join our maintenance team at a leading smelting facility in Australia's largest mining and processing hub.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricate, install, and maintain high-pressure vessels and mechanical components, ensuring strict safety and operational standards are met.
* Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting tasks using diverse materials and techniques.
* Inspect and assess structural components, identifying areas for repair or replacement.
* Interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and engineering plans to execute complex fabrication projects.
* Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
Requirements
* A recognized trade qualification in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent.
* Prior experience in heavy industrial or smelter environments is preferred.
* Strong skills in welding, fabrication, and metal repair, particularly with pressure-rated components.
* Ability to read and apply technical documentation and welding procedures.
* Excellent safety awareness, problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
