Redpath Partners are partnering with an established development group to appoint a Senior Development Manager to lead the retail of complex mixed-use projects.
This is a senior role for a development professional who understands how retail shapes precincts. You will be responsible for translating vision into built form - guiding projects from early strategy and concept through approvals and into delivery.
The Opportunity
Working within an experienced development team, you will take carriage of retail-led mixed-use projects that require careful integration of design, planning and commercial outcomes.
Your remit will include:
* Setting the retail direction within broader mixed-use schemes
* Leading design development with architects and specialist consultants
* Navigating planning and authority processes to secure approvals
* Ensuring retail layouts, activation and public interface are commercially sound and operationally effective
* Managing projects through procurement and construction
* Overseeing program, cost, risk and overall project performance
This role requires someone who can think strategically at the front end, manage complexity through approvals, and maintain control through delivery.
About You
You are an experienced Senior Development Manager with meaningful exposure to retail within mixed-use environments.
You bring:
* Demonstrated end-to-end development experience on urban projects
* Strong design management capability and an eye for quality built outcomes
* Confidence managing consultants and authority engagement
* Commercial judgement and the ability to balance design ambition with feasibility discipline
* The presence and credibility to operate at a senior level internally and externally
