Plant Molecular Physiology Researcher
We are seeking an accomplished Plant Molecular Physiologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in plant biology, physiology, and molecular biology.
The ideal candidate will be able to conduct research in the areas of plant genomics, crop improvement, sustainable agriculture, soil science, dryland farming, viticulture, and oenology. They will also have experience with handling and maintaining crops in field-based and controlled environments, as well as genetic transformation of cereal crops.
* Ph.D. in Plant Biology or related field with relevant industry experience
* Demonstrated expertise in plant physiology, plant molecular biology, phylogeny, molecular evolution, bioinformatics, multi-omics, and programming skills in R and Python
* Strong track record of publishing in international peer-reviewed journals and ability to write manuscripts for publication in internationally recognized high-quality scientific journals
* Ability to initiate and lead research activities, including collaboration and negotiation skills with domestic and international industry stakeholders
* Experience in supervising Masters and Honours students
* Excellent organizational, time management, intercultural, and interpersonal skills
