About the Position
You will join a close-knit, skilled team delivering a diverse range of residential, commercial, and urban development projects across Australia. Working alongside senior engineers and civil designers, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and coordination of stormwater drainage and civil infrastructure systems. You will be regularly liaising with clients, authorities, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth approvals and timely project delivery.
Responsibilities
* Design and documentation of stormwater drainage and civil infrastructure systems
* Prepare flood studies, overland flow assessments, and stormwater management plans
* Liaise with councils, service authorities, and external consultants to coordinate design requirements
* Ensure compliance with local authority standards, Australian Standards, and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) principles
* Assist in mentoring junior staff and contribute to team knowledge-sharing
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
* Minimum 4 years' experience in stormwater and civil infrastructure design
* Proven experience with urban development or building projects (residential/commercial/industrial)
* Strong understanding of local council DCPs, WSUD, and ARR guidelines
* Proficiency in DRAINS, MUSIC, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD (12D experience highly regarded)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
