The full-time position of Maintenance Planner is based at our manufacturing facility situated at Josephville, located approximately 90 km south of Brisbane.
What your day will look like:
* Engage actively with the maintenance and site teams to optimise job scheduling and identify opportunities for process improvement
* Communicate clear plans to all parties, and track success weekly to drive continuous improvement
* Ensure safety and quality are prioritised in all planned works, collaborating across departments for robust maintenance plans
* Lead and contribute to the shutdown works, identify key components of sucess and ensuring follow-up work is completed.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Maintenance Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance plan by analysing equipment data, historical maintenance records, and industry best practices. Identify critical equipment and establish appropriate maintenance intervals and procedures to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Undertake preventative maintenance activities on mechanical or electrical instruments and/or equipment.
* Work Order Management: Receive and review work requests, prioritize tasks, and create detailed work orders. Collaborate with maintenance technicians, operations teams, and external vendors to coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, ensuring all necessary resources and materials are available. Keep records relating to spare parts stocks and engineering consumables.
* Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program: Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program to proactively address potential equipment failures. Establish PM schedules, procedures, and checklists to ensure regular inspections, lubrication, calibration, and other preventive maintenance tasks are performed in a timely manner. Perform work to the relevant standards and codes where applicable.
* Spare Parts Management: Collaborate with procurement and stores to maintain an accurate inventory of critical spare parts. Ensure parts availability for planned maintenance activities and establish reorder points to prevent stockouts. Monitor and identify obsolete items, and recommend adjustments to optimize coverage.
* Reliability Analysis: Maximise equipment uptime, extending asset life and driving long term value for the business.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance schedules. Generate and interpret reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and communicate with stakeholders.
* Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance processes, procedures, and systems. Propose and implement innovative ideas to enhance equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.
* Projects: Effectively collaborate with project teams to develop and implement project plans, ensuring they are in line with the project scope, engineering specifications, and necessary action steps. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of capital projects.

About You
The successful applicant will be able to cope with a varied workload, be a good team player with a proactive attitude, be responsible and reliable, and be able to prioritise and take ownership of all tasks given. The candidate must be professional and courteous as well as adopt a flexible approach to their work.
* A Trade or engineering qualification in mechanical or electrical is essential.
* Competent in maintenance management and planning.
* In depth experience with industrial process equipment.
* Previous work experience in Manufacturing and Food Processing would be advantageous.
