As a Fitter & Machinist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of work. Your responsibilities include reporting to the Fitting Shop Team Leader, bench fitting, machining, assembly, and testing of products.
You will interpret engineering drawings, job cards, and specifications to plan work sequencing and meet material, equipment, and consumables requirements.
The position involves performing machining operations including turning, milling, grinding, drilling, reaming, boring, shaping, and slotting to produce parts, tools, jigs, and fixtures to tight tolerances.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to ensure the quality and accuracy of work using measuring equipment and complete dimensional inspection reports.
In addition to your technical skills, you will contribute to the company's objectives, including zero safety incidents, zero warranty claims, and zero re-works.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for promoting a safe, efficient, and positive workplace.
You will also be responsible for fitting and assembling parts, tools, or sub-assemblies, including welding or brazing of parts, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
