The role
Practice Manager

1⁄2 day Friday - Spring Hill - Expanding practice - O&G; (and Fertility)

Excellent remuneration - commence 1st September (or earlier)

Brand new renovated rooms - Gentu - Delightful Female Surgeons

About us

Our expanding practice is led by three experienced Female Obstetric and Gynaecological Surgeons who also specialise in Fertility. Describing our Surgeons as delightful and amicable is an understatement. Our vision is to provide cutting‐edge and compassionate care to all our patients while building a team that enjoys working together and coming to work. We aim to make a real difference in our patients' lives. We are seeking a Practice Manager who shares our vision and wants to help create a practice where our patients feel safe, protected, and heard.

About you

You excel in leveraging your extensive experience from previous practices to assist to expand our practice, implementing processes and procedures as needed. You thrive as a gatekeeper for Surgeons, with building practices being second nature to you. Your initiative and competency allow the Surgeons to focus on their expertise. You take pride in your flexible and empathetic personality, which is essential in the field of O&G;. You are known for handling patients and staff with professionalism, confidence, and competence. Your team leader skills are evident as you excel in mentoring our staff.

Key duties/skills

Management

  • Managing the practice and staff to ensure patients have a smooth and pleasant experience at the practice.
  • Assisting the Surgeons with ad‐hoc duties as required.
  • Pro‐active team building skills - including administrating and managing fortnightly practice meetings with clinical and administration staff.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, workload, and take action to address learning and development needs and performance issues.
  • Managing staff including handling leave requests, rosters and timesheets.
  • Supervising our administrative staff during consulting sessions and providing support and training as necessary.
  • Creating, implementing and refining processes/procedures as required (particularly due to being a restructure).
  • Developing strategies for change and growth.
  • Pro‐active assistance in marketing to referrers.
  • Managing clinical stock levels.
  • Managing queries and complaints with your natural, unflappable manner.
  • Attending to PA duties required by the Surgeon.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive mindset.
  • IT proficiency - able to troubleshoot.
  • Attending to day‐to‐day staff management duties, along with being part of the annual appraisal process.
  • Prior experience with practice financials, including reconciliation of end of day, week and month.
  • High attention to detail with organisational skills.

Admin skills

  • Managing and overseeing Theatre billing, booking, and quoting.
  • Dealing with Health funds.
  • Competency with Medical Terminology and Privacy Laws.
  • Weekly banking reports.
  • Batching.
  • Creating templates.
  • Extremely well presented, verbally, in writing, and in person.

  • Can do attitude who is extremely organised and prides themselves on their attention to detail and thrives in building practices.
  • A clear and concise communicator who loves to be part of an excellent team.
  • Honest, trustworthy, loyal and dependable - you enjoy building and maintaining fantastic teams and supporting our busy Surgeons.
  • Friendly with quiet confidence.
Experience
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of Practice Manager experience - Specialist and cloud software experience viewed favourably, along with O&G; and Fertility experience.
  • A Diploma of Practice Management (or similar) would be viewed highly.

Days/Hours (negotiable)

Monday to Thursday: 8.00am till 5.00pm (30 minute unpaid lunch). Friday 8.00am till 12noon.

Pay rate

$50.00 to $65.00 per hour plus super.

Ability to commute/relocate
  • Spring Hill QLD 4000: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred).
Work Authorisation

Australia (preferred).

Work Location

In person.
