About The Company

Our client is a highly regarded supplier of premium architectural surface solutions, servicing the commercial construction, architectural and interior design sectors across Australia. With a portfolio of globally recognised and emerging product brands spanning commercial surfaces, renewable materials and design-led solutions, the business partners closely with architects, interior designers, developers, fabricators and builders across some of Australia's most high-profile projects. As part of continued investment into their national specification capability, they are now seeking an experienced Specification Manager to drive growth across the NSW and ACT market.

About The Role

This is a true front-end specification sales role focused on generating and winning commercial project specifications through the Architectural & Design community. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships with architects and designers, influencing product selection into tender documentation and driving specification pipeline growth across key commercial sectors.

Importantly, this role is deliberately structured to allow you to focus on specification and pipeline generation, internal teams manage quoting, shop drawings, renders and downstream project conversion, allowing you to stay focused on winning the next opportunity.

The territory is considered one of the largest and most strategically important commercial specification markets in Australia, offering genuine greenfield opportunity backed by strong internal support, marketing investment and an established product platform.

Responsibilities

* Build and grow specification pipeline across NSW and ACT within key commercial sectors
* Develop strong relationships with architects, interior designers, developers and project influencers
* Secure product specification into tender documentation and project designs
* Deliver CPD presentations, technical lunch-and-learns and product education sessions
* Drive specification opportunities across multiple premium product categories
* Collaborate closely with internal sales and marketing teams to maximise project conversion
* Maintain accurate CRM pipeline management and reporting discipline
* Monitor project activity, market trends and competitor movements
* Leverage technical/design support offerings to differentiate solutions in the market
* Defend and maintain specifications throughout the project lifecycle where required

About You

We are seeking an experienced specification-led sales professional who understands how to navigate the commercial construction and A&D environment.

You will likely bring:

* Proven experience in specification or technical B2B sales
* Existing exposure to the Architectural & Design community in Sydney
* Strong understanding of the commercial specification process, tendering and compliance environment
* Confidence delivering presentations, CPDs and technical discussions
* A consultative, solutions-focused sales approach
* Strong pipeline management and CRM discipline
* A proactive, self-directed and commercially driven mindset

Backgrounds of interest may include:

* Commercial interior surfaces / decorative finishes
* Architectural building products
* Commercial joinery / façade / ceiling / flooring solutions
* Bathroomware, furniture or adjacent specification-led categories
* Architects or interior designers who have transitioned into commercial product sales
