The Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV) program provides essential support services to women and children affected by domestic and family violence, enabling them to stay safely in their home or relocate with the perpetrator removed.

About the Role
* Collaborate with key services including NSW Police, WDVCAS, DCJ, and others.
* Support clients to build safety, stability, and independence through targeted interventions.
* Foster early intervention strategies to prevent homelessness.
* Develop and implement strengths-based safety plans tailored to individual needs.
* Promote community awareness and education to reduce tolerance of domestic and family violence.
Requirements
* Demonstrate an understanding of the cycle of domestic and family violence, including the dynamics of power and control.
* Show a working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and standards related to child protection and child-safe organisations.
* Exhibit cultural competence principles, relevant to engaging clients from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations people and those from a CALD background.
* Demonstrate the ability to conduct assessments addressing safety, risk concerns for children, young people, and adults experiencing domestic violence.
* Deliver accountable, collaborative, and evidence-based casework that respects the culture and context of clients and communities.
* Maintain accurate and relevant client records for reporting and information sharing.
* Demonstrate flexibility in work hours to meet the needs of clients.
