About the role
This role is for a casual or full-time Roof Plumber located in Karratha. It is not a fly-in, fly-out position. Casual rate is $75 - $80 per hour. Full-time rate is $60 - $65 per hour plus superannuation, flights to Perth, and regional rent benefits. The role is for someone who takes pride in doing things properly the first time and enjoys variety and the opportunity to work at a faster than average pace. It requires technical problem-solving and ingenuity when new site challenges are encountered. An above average attention to detail is essential as is multi-tasking and helping out the team when required. It requires someone who likes to see projects through from the build kick-off to the finished product. The job environment is clearly structured, and job expectations are clearly established. While the pace of work is faster than average, you will never be asked to compromise on quality.
* Managing rainwater systems by installing and repairing gutters, downpipes, and roof drainage systems
* Installing metal roof sheets and wall claddings
* Installing and fixing flashings to roof penetrations and junctions to prevent leaks
* Fitting rainwater tanks, solar water heating systems, and roof ventilation
* Inspecting and repairing damaged roof plumbing systems on a variety of civil, commercial, and residential projects
* Reading drawings to determine layouts, measuring, cutting, and joining materials using power tools
* Paying high attention to detail-oriented work
* Ensuring safety standards are maintained at all times
* Ensuring all work meets Trasan's quality, safety, and compliance standards
* Adhering to established guidelines and procedures

What we can provide
We are offering a casual rate of $75 - $80 per hour or a full-time rate of $60 - $65 per hour, which then entitles you to up to 10 RDOs per year, 2 return flights to Perth, and ongoing training. If you sign on full-time, you are also eligible for salary package and receive Regional Rent Benefits to help you with housing in Karratha. What you must have to apply for this role
* Minimum 4–6 years roof plumbing experience
* Certificate III in Roof Plumbing (minimum)
* A plumbing tradesperson or plumbing contractor's licence
* WA Driver's Licence
* Construction White Card
* Working Safely at Heights ticket
* Clean results in any drug & alcohol screening
* Strong communication skills
* Demonstrated experience across working with tin, flashings, gutters, and cladding
* Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
* A precise and highly safety-focused approach to work
* A proven ability to multi-task and collaborate with others
* The right to work without restriction in Australia
* Proven experience working in cyclonic or tropical environments
* Understanding of commercial and residential roof plumbing practices
You will be highly regarded if you also have
* Civil-related licences (forklift, scaffolding, crane)
* Light truck licence
* MSIC / ASIC / Police Clearance
* Experience in remote or regional environments
* Previous demonstrated use of tablets and digital documentation tools
