About the Role
Under the guidance of the Manager Community Planning, you will:
* Lead the planning, design, and coordination of new and upgraded community infrastructure projects.
* Develop strategies, masterplans, and concept designs to support future infrastructure implementation.
* Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to ensure projects align with community aspirations.
* Secure funding opportunities through grant submissions and partnerships.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration of project activities across departments.
* Provide technical advice and oversee research related to community infrastructure planning.
What We're Looking For
* A tertiary qualification in Recreation and Leisure Planning, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Infrastructure Project Management, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in urban planning, site design, or infrastructure project management, with a focus on recreation and civic facilities.
* Strong project management skills, including budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and contract management.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders.
* A proactive, innovative thinker with a commitment to sustainability and inclusivity in planning and design.
