Are you a motivated, proactive Bookkeeper looking for an exciting and diverse role making a tangible difference to the lives of women and girls in need? We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our small finance team.
Share the Dignity is passionate about our work helping women, girls and those who have a period, who are in need and eliminating period poverty in Australia. As a relatively young charity (10 years old), there are still so many ways to grow and improve what we do – and we are looking for people who would relish the challenge of being a part of this phase.
The Bookkeeper role is a permanent full-time position based onsite at our office in Virginia, Queensland. This role will report to our Chief Financial Officer and support bookkeeping and financial operations.
Responsibilities
* Accounts receivable
* Accounts payable
* Bank reconciliations
* Credit card reconciliations
* Create purchase orders
* Prepare & process weekly payment runs
* Process fortnightly payroll
* End of month procedures & financial reporting
* Management of EFTPOS machines
* Any other bookkeeping functions or activities required
Qualifications
* Exceptional skills in all facets of Xero Financial Management system
* Cert IV in Bookkeeping or similar, with substantial experience and can demonstrate knowledge and competency in a variety of financial tasks
* Payroll experience
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and abilities
* Proven ability to set up business systems and processes to ensure organisational efficiency
* Sound knowledge of business and financial principles and practices
* Excellent numerical skills
* Strong organisational skills
* Ability to keep within timeframes and deadlines and prioritise effectively to ensure team success
* Ability to exercise sound degree of judgment, initiative, confidentiality, and sensitivity
Desirable Skills
* Experience working in a not for profit or charity organisation an advantage
* Experience with online shop payment processing systems
* Knowledge of PayPal, Stripe, Smartsheets, Salesforce and Funraisin
Location
Brisbane, Northern Suburbs – Virginia.
