Financial Operations Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a commercial finance position and make an immediate impact. You will join a well-established Australian manufacturing business based in West Adelaide, with a clear focus on improving cost efficiency, driving process improvements, and supporting operational decision-making.
Job Responsibilities:
* Manage and update product costings, BOMs, and standard costs
* Monitor and report on production variances (yield, wastage, efficiency)
* Prepare monthly management accounts and dashboards
* Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with accurate cost assumptions
* Partner with operational managers to provide insights into performance and cost-saving initiatives
* Analyse inventory movements and valuations
* Assist with ad-hoc projects linked to process improvement and cost optimisation
Requirements:
* Proven experience in management accounting within a manufacturing, FMCG, or production setting
* Strong knowledge of cost accounting, variances, and standard costing
* Experience with ERP systems (JDE desirable, but not essential)
* Ability to work independently, hit the ground running, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
* CA/CPA qualification (or studying towards) preferred, but not essential
