HorizonOne is supporting a national Australian Government regulatory authority responsible for the assessment, registration, and regulation of agricultural and veterinary chemical products.
The organisation plays a critical role in protecting human health, animal welfare, and the environment by ensuring that pesticides and veterinary medicines used in Australia meet strict safety, quality, and efficacy standards.
It works closely with industry, government, and international stakeholders, leveraging scientific, regulatory, and technical expertise to support safe agricultural practices and biosecurity outcomes.
The Opportunity
As the EL1 Project Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Manager, you'll take the lead in shaping how this agency communicates on major remediation projects.
This role involves working closely with project teams, developing engagement and communications strategies, and ensuring seamless delivery to maximise stakeholder understanding and project success.
* Lead stakeholder engagement and communications on major national remediation projects with real impact on public health, animal welfare, and the environment
* Work at the intersection of science, regulation, and communications, gaining exposure to complex, high-profile projects
The Role
* Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement strategies for major projects, including industry, community, and regulated entities
* Lead project communications for internal teams and external stakeholders
* Provide media, stakeholder advice, and planning to senior leadership
* Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve optimal project outcomes
* Work with scientific and regulatory experts to support project communications needs
The Ideal Person
You will be an experienced EL1 communications and stakeholder engagement professional with a background in media, communications, or a related field.
Knowledge of the agricultural or veterinary medicines sectors is highly desirable.
You will bring:
* Proven expertise in complex stakeholder engagement and communications, particularly through change
* Experience developing and delivering successful stakeholder engagement plans
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide clear advice on complex issues
* The ability to quickly understand the agricultural and veterinary sectors, their regulation, and key stakeholders
* Excellent interpersonal, networking, and team collaboration skills, with highly articulate communication
Salary / Rate
* Labour hire contract – 12-month + 6-month extension
* $85/hr - $95/hr + 12% Super
* Baseline Security Clearance Required
* WFH available
