About the Role

As the Analyst within the Value Management Office (VMO), you will play a key role in the establishment and ongoing management of Lean Portfolio and Value Management practices in the ITU. You will support in enabling Lean governance, proactive reporting (tracking value, financials and more), and analytical support to the VMO, Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Agile teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in a PMO environment.

Through a wide range of activities, you will support the optimisation of the portfolio's activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and driving continuous improvement in value delivery.

About You

As the Agile VMO Analyst, you will have:

• Proven experience with and broad understanding of Agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean Agile, and the related ceremonies and artefacts.

• Proven experience in traditional portfolio management practices and techniques, as well as the ability to adapt and apply them within an Agile context.

• Demonstrated portfolio planning, scheduling, risk management, resource management, and budgeting experience.

• Demonstrated experience playing a leading role in modernising and transforming a project management office and/or value management office.

• Knowledge of Agile project management tools and technologies, including tools for Agile planning, tracking, and reporting, as well as collaboration platforms for team communication and documentation.

• Prior experience with design and tracking Agile metrics and preparing relevant reports to measure project progress and overall project health.

• Demonstrated ability to identify areas for improvement that enhance the efficiency of business practices and performance, including project management and process improvement skills.

• Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and risk management skills, including the ability to exercise sound judgment.

• Strong time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with prior experience communicating the benefits of agile practices and providing tangible examples of how Agile can improve outcomes.

• Demonstrated success working collaboratively and productively within a team, and proven ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $120,827 to $137,609 pa (HEW 8)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
