Driving Mentor Role
Make a real impact in your community by helping young people learn to drive.
This role is for an experienced and motivated individual who can supervise, mentor, and guide learners as they complete their required log book hours.
* Supervise and mentor learners to ensure they achieve their log book hours.
* Ensure all activities comply with Work Health and Safety standards.
* Induct new participants into the program.
* Work towards goals outlined in the learner driver handbook.
* Maintain vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition.
* SUPPORT LEARNERS WITH EMPATHY, PATIENCE, AND PROFESSIONALISM.
* Support learners to engage with qualified driving schools when ready for provisional licence tests.
Requirements
You must be an accredited Driving Instructor or willing to obtain this qualification within a specified timeframe.
* Demonstrate knowledge of WHS workplace requirements and experience implementing these policies in a work setting.
* Show proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and typing speed (minimum 30 words per minute).
* Demonstrate high interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective relationships with diverse participants.
* Have good knowledge of the region and townships and experience driving in this area.
* Hold a full unconditional driver's license for at least 5 years prior continuous duration and not subject to any good behaviour bonds.
* Obtain a Working with Children's Check and undergo a National Criminal History Check.
* HOLD A CURRENT SENIOR FIRST AID CERTIFICATE OR BE WILLING TO OBTAIN ONE.
