G&R Wills require a Casual Warehouse Worker, for picking, packing of weekly orders, with unloading of shipping containers also required. Fantastic hours with some overtime expectations.
Applicant must have
* Good interpersonal skills and a friendly nature.
* Able to work well within a team, on your own, and be able to follow instructions.
* The role may require some moderate lifting and reaching.
* A commitment to providing great customer service as required by working with enthusiasm, energy and pace.
* Current driver's license and own transport.
* Forklift license essential.
* HR/MR licence advantageous but not essential
Key Responsibilities
* Picking and packing orders at high volume.
* Labelling cartons for dispatch of orders.
* Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time.
* Restock shelves via bulk while picking, observing the 'first-in-first-out' rule of stocking inventory. Manual handling of stock boxes including lifting.
* Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person.
* Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, co-workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.
* Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.
* Load and unload deliveries as required.
* All general warehousing duties as required.
* Backup delivery driver - HR license desirable not not essential
Necessary Skills & Experience
* Basic computer skills.
* Positive attitude.
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise time.
* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with basic Maths ability (essential).
* Physically fit, as work will involve lifting and moving cartons up to 20kg.
* Being confident using ladders and electric pickers and forklifts.
Previous Warehouse experience in picking and packing of orders desirable but not essential, with on the job training provided for the right applicant. Police clearance and pre employment medical will be undertaken.
Attention to detail, accuracy, punctuality, adherence to WHS company policies and the willingness to work as part of a team are essential to be successful in this role.
