Your new company
Hays are recruiting a project manager for a commercial construction company who has ongoing work throughout Perth. This organisation has 30+ internal staff and works on projects $5-15M in value. Specialising in fast food, retail, childcare, fuel stations and other commercial buildings, the work is endless.
Your new role
As 1 of 3 project managers, you will have 3-4 projects at one time with supervisors reporting into you.
* Working closely with the project administrators, this role will involve contracts administration
* Managing projects from Civil works to handover
* Supporting the site supervisors
* Engaging with subcontractors and managing time & budget
* Ensuring projects are handed over on time
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience as a project manager managing up to 5 commercial projects
* Experience working on projects such as childcare centres, schools, fuel stations, retail outlets, fast food, supermarkets or similar projects (Australian experience desired)
* Managing projects from $5-15 M in value
* Managing on-site subcontractors of 20+ staffing
* Ability to manage sites from civil works to handover
* Ability to be hands-on and a team player to ensure work is completed
* Work within deadlines and keep project timeframes
* Qualification in construction
