About the role
We're looking for an experienced Tractor Operator to join the team at Mackays Group in Warrami, QLD. Transport available to and from Tully.
Full-time, year-round work – not just a seasonal gig
You'll be working across our sugarcane farming operations, using a range of machinery to help with everything from cultivation to harvest. If you're confident behind the wheel and enjoy hands-on farm work, this could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing
1. Tractor Driving
2. Helping with crop care – including planting, cultivating, and keeping crops in top shape
3. General farm jobs like land prep, fertilising, and pest/weed control
4. Keeping farm buildings and fences in good condition
5. Doing basic maintenance and servicing on tractors and other farm equipment
6. Keeping clear records – including spray diaries and safety logs
What we're looking for
1. Relevant experience in operating agricultural machinery, preferably in a sugarcane farming environment
2. Confident working on your own
3. Knowledge of sugarcane farming practices and crop cultivation techniques
4. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
