We're seekinga Workshop and Facility Managerto lead our new centre and ensure safety, sales, cost and productivity targets are met / exceeded.
This role will be based at our Circular Solutions Centre in Eagle Farm, Brisbane.
About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Manager to lead the operations of our Circular Solution Centre in Eagle Farm.
This leadership role is responsible for managing all remanufacturing activities, ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance, and financial performance in line with SKF's strategic goals.
The successful candidate will drive productivity, manage key customer relationships, and lead a multidisciplinary team while ensuring SKF's standards in quality, EHS, and business integrity are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Circular Solution Centre, including remanufacturing, workshop productivity, safety, and compliance.
Lead and manage a high-performing team, setting performance targets and supporting professional development.
Achieve financial goals, including budgeted sales, cost control, and profitability targets.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and eliminate waste.
Ensure compliance with SKF policies, Quality Management Systems, and EHS standards.
Communicate sales activities and results with management as required.
Assist management in preparing annual forecasts, strategic business plan and annual marketing objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and national stakeholders to support large tenders, key accounts, and project delivery.
Manage customer relationships, service contracts, and support delivery and invoicing accuracy.
Report on KPIs, performance metrics, and business activity using SKF systems (e.g., Siebel, CRM).
Act as a Site Manager with overall responsibility for site EHS and security.
About You
The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline and bring proven leadership experience in managing mechanical or remanufacturing operations.
A strong understanding of bearing remanufacturing processes, along with familiarity with SKF technologies, is essential.
The role requires demonstrated expertise in business development and financial management, as well as proficiency in ERP systems, CRM platforms, and the Microsoft Office suite.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills are expected, alongside a solid grasp of EHS practices and regulatory compliance.
A valid Australian driver's license and a forklift license are required, while additional certifications in HSE or Quality Management will be highly regarded.
