About the Role
This position requires a seasoned professional to lead the Property Services and Facilities Branch, ensuring strategic management and operational delivery of safe, functional, and community-focused property and facility services.
* Manage branch operations, including budget preparation, resource allocation, and program delivery with safety-first leadership.
* Provide advice and negotiations on leasing, acquisitions, State land dealings, property market trends, and cost-effective management of infrastructure.
* Oversee the operational management and service delivery for day-to-day council-owned facilities.
* Lead the development and implementation of long-term property and facility strategies, initiatives, and policies and procedures.
* Provide advice to stakeholders, including Councillors and management, regarding effective property services and facilities management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in property management, facility management, or a related field.
* Experience in achieving strategic and operational objectives.
* Demonstrated experience in operational service delivery in a fast-paced and complex environment.
* Proven capability in navigating real estate law, property titling, and tenure matters.
* Established financial management skills.
* A high level of inter-personal and communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively lead a team to success.
