Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Role
We are seeking a skilled E&I Technician to join our team. This role involves undertaking electrical and instrumentation trade activities for various clients.
The successful candidate will work within the GLNG Maintenance Team, supporting the maintenance of non-core and non-critical operating assets as defined within GLNG systems. Directed support will also be required under supervision at times for core and critical operating assets and key Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) equipment as directed by the client or OEM contractor.
Main Responsibilities
1. Install electrical and instrumentation equipment and wiring systems in classified hazardous areas.
2. Ensure compliance with AS/NZS standards.
3. Conduct visual, close, and detailed inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations in hazardous areas.
4. Perform routine and periodic inspections to ensure ongoing compliance and safety.
5. Use appropriate testing equipment to verify the integrity and safety of installations.
6. Maintain and repair explosion-protected electrical and instrumentation equipment.
7. Troubleshoot and rectify faults in hazardous area systems.
8. Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and compliant with safety protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* QLD Electrical Licence
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent
* Prior experience in oil & gas, mining, or petrochemical industries
* Minimum EWP Yellow Card – below 11m or preferred EWP WP – 11m and over certificate
* Work Safely at Heights certified
* Maritime Security Identification Card
* Current Driver's Licence
* EEHA Certification (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas)
