Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to support WAN and LAN networks.
Responsibilities include:
* Responding to and resolving incident tickets
* Drafting and implementing standard network change requests
* Providing support to senior network engineers for incident management and projects
* Performing configuration management functions
* Coordinating network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades
* Configuring and troubleshooting layer 2 switching
* Maintaining accountability and inventory control of COMSEC equipment
* Supporting the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of encryption devices
Requirements include:
* TS SCI with Poly clearance
* Eight years of experience in network administration
* Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification
* Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals
* Working knowledge of layer 2 switching concepts
* Knowledge of CISCO / Juniper Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes
* Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience
* Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) models
* Familiarity with various protocols and software tools
