In this role, you will play a key part in the Project Finance Portfolio Management team, reporting directly to the PF Infra and Resources Director. Your primary responsibility will be to support the credit analysis and ongoing portfolio management of Project Finance customers within Australia.
* Management of customer credit & portfolio related requests
* Periodic review of customer credit and risk profiles
* Supporting the Relationship Managers and Portfolio Leads to manage credit proposals for new transactions
* Supporting the preparation of client presentations and customer account plans
* Managing compliance with internal processes and policies and other ad hoc support to the relationship managers
Account Management:
The successful candidate will be responsible for credit analysis across a portfolio of clients with a focus on credit quality monitoring and the achievement of the Bank's risk / return targets through:
* Conducting annual credit reviews and internal rating reviews
* Attending to client consent requests
* Supporting the Infra Director and VP in managing challenging assets
* Supporting refinancing and other revenue initiatives across the portfolio
* Coordinating within the MUFG network
* Client interactions on tasks required for on-boarding and account management
* Any other required tasks in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures and required to support the broader RUIT business
Portfolio Management:
* Support the PF Portfolio in the management of PF names in Infra and Resources, including a focus on sector risk / return and other strategic review processes
What we are looking for:
* Analyst – 2+ years' experience in institutional lending and credit research
* Associate - 4 – 6 years' experience in institutional lending and credit research
* We will also consider candidates from chartered accounting firms, investment banks, investment management, project developers or from a treasury team in general corporates
Required Skills:
* Solid mathematical knowledge, proficient Excel spreadsheet skills, research and analytical skills
* Broad Australian industry, business and economic understanding
* Be able to engage in independent research and analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detail
* The ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
* Has strong interpersonal and presentations skills
* Is a team player
* Is a self-starter who applies initiative and has drive and enthusiasm
* Has an analytical mindset and problem solving skills and is able to form their own opinions
* Has the ability to work independently and prioritise a number of tasks across various work streams and alongside a number of stakeholders
