Journalism Career Opportunities
This 12-month cadetship provides a unique chance to develop skills in broadcast and digital journalism with a reputable Australian media organization.
Cadets will work across various platforms, including television, radio, and digital, contributing to news and current affairs content that matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and pitch original story ideas for TV, radio, and digital platforms.
* Produce and report content across multiple formats.
* Participate in newsroom and field-based training across teams.
* Support coverage of breaking news and major events.
* Develop journalism skills in line with editorial values: accuracy, balance, and impact.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must have:
* A tertiary qualification in Journalism or a related field completed by the program start date.
* Experience in reporting or producing content for TV, radio, or digital platforms.
* Strong knowledge of national and international current affairs.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Familiarity with reputable media organizations' programming.
* Initiative, curiosity, and a drive to develop meaningful story ideas.
* A second language and/or lived experience of another culture is highly desirable.

About the Program
