A NSW Government agency is seeking two Senior Research & Evaluation Analysts to deliver research, analysis, and evaluation projects that shape policy and improve service outcomes for Aboriginal communities across NSW.
Senior Research & Evaluation Analyst (Quantitative)
What you'll do
Lead quantitative research and evaluation projects
Conduct advanced statistical analysis (e.g., regression, causal inference, modelling)
Design surveys, evaluation frameworks, logic models and tools
Review and quality-assure commissioned research
Translate complex data into clear insights for senior decision-makers
Apply culturally informed and ethical research practices
What you'll bring
5+ years research / evaluation experience (quant or mixed-methods)
Strong analytical skills using R, Stata, SPSS, or Python
Experience designing quantitative methods and data collection tools
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Understanding of culturally safe research (or willingness to build capability)
Senior Research & Evaluation Analyst (Qualitative)
What you'll do
Lead qualitative research using interviews, yarning, workshops, case studies, etc.
Develop evaluation frameworks, program logics and data collection tools
Build evaluation capability across teams and partners
Produce clear, actionable insights for reports, briefs and stakeholders
Engage respectfully and collaboratively with diverse communities and service partners
What you'll bring
5+ years qualitative research / evaluation experience
Strong capability in participatory or community-based research methods
Experience working with priority or vulnerable populations (highly valued)
Excellent writing, facilitation and communication skills
Ability to translate evidence into practical policy recommendations
