About Us IGA Bellvista is a community-focused supermarket located in Caloundra West, Queensland.
We provide a wide range of grocery products, fresh produce, and everyday essentials to local residents. Our business is committed to delivering friendly service, efficient store operations, and consistent product availability. Due to ongoing operational requirements, we are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee daily store management and performance.
Location: 2 Rawson St, Caloundra West QLD 4551 Position: Retail Manager – Full-Time Salary: $76,515 – $80,000 + Superannuation
About the Role The Retail Manager will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the supermarket, ensuring smooth daily workflow, supervising staff, maintaining stock levels, and delivering strong customer service outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisational and operational skills.
Key Responsibilities 1. Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures. 2. Supervise, roster, train, and manage retail staff to ensure adequate coverage and performance.
3. Monitor stock levels, coordinate ordering, and conduct regular stocktakes. 4. Implement merchandising strategies and ensure shelves are well-presented and fully stocked. 5. Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve store targets.
6. Manage cash handling, POS operations, and daily reconciliations. 7. Ensure high standards of customer service and handle escalated customer enquiries or complaints. 8. Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
9. Implement store policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. 10. Prepare basic operational and sales reports for management review. Skills & Experience
1. Qualification in Retail Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2. Minimum three years of experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, or similar supervisory role. 3. Strong understanding of supermarket or grocery retail operations.
4. Ability to manage staff, rosters, and daily operational priorities. 5. Good communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. 6. Ability to work independently in a busy retail environment.
