Job Title: Manager in Financial Accounting Advisory Services
Description:
As a Manager in our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice, you will partner with Chief Finance Officers and their finance teams to create long-term value, trust, and confidence within their organisations.
You will combine your commercial experience and deep sector and regulatory knowledge with expertise in finance function optimisation specifically within the payroll process and finance leading practices to drive outcomes and provide advice across a wide range of finance function topics.
Your responsibilities will include establishing high performing teams, leading engagement planning, management and delivery, participating in overall practice strategy development, and delivering high quality written deliverables.
You will also develop strong professional networks, grow and maintain long-term productive client relationships, prepare and deliver proposals, and realise business development plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establishing high performing teams, including coaching and mentoring team members.
* Leading the planning, management, and delivery of engagements, including proactive stakeholder management, commercial project outcomes, resourcing, and risk management.
* Participating in overall practice strategy development whilst ensuring high quality deliverables tailored to client needs.
* Developing strong professional networks including growing and maintaining long-term productive client relationships.
* Preparing and delivering proposals and realising business development plans.
* Demonstrating an understanding of client industry sector, key performance drivers, business trends, and new technical and industry developments.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 6 years' relevant experience, and CA or equivalent professional qualification.
* Excellent leadership and project management skills with a proven ability to execute under pressure.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A strong ability to assemble and lead diverse teams in an inclusive manner.
* A desire to build a career founded on purpose and teamwork.
* Ability to advise clients on processes/controls enhancements specifically in the payroll process including understanding of the complexity of the Australian payroll landscape.
* An understanding of how a transaction works (i.e., business acquisitions and business disposals) and the operational impacts for the business/finance function.
