The Job Profile
This role supports the coordination and execution of book distribution to clients by managing product workflows, monitoring stock and sales data, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and effective market delivery.
The Job Role
The Junior Product Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of the distribution client lifecycle. This role ensures that every title in our client portfolio is commercially "sale-ready" by managing the critical path from acquisition through to retail launch.
By acting as the primary liaison between external partners and internal sales, inventory, and marketing teams, the Junior Product Manager ensures all metadata, assets, and sales materials are delivered with precision and on schedule.
They serve as a brand ambassador, balancing the unique needs of our distribution clients with the broader commercial objectives of S&S to maximise market reach and title profitability.
The Candidate P rofile
We are seeking a self-driven and reliable individual who brings a collaborative and transparent approach to their work. You will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and remain calm under pressure. A personable and diplomatic communicator, you are confident in influencing others and building strong working relationships.
The ideal candidate will have experience in publishing, content production, or a related field, with a solid understanding of end-to-end book publishing workflows, including editorial, design, production, and distribution. You will be comfortable working across a matrix organisation, engaging with multiple stakeholders and contributing positively to team culture and business outcomes.
Experience within a global organisation is advantageous, along with familiarity with publishing systems, CMS platforms, or workflow management tools. You will bring a proactive mindset and a willingness to learn, continuously adding value in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
