Yeronga State High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Technician to support students and teachers in the implementation of science experiments as part of junior and senior curriculum.
This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.6FTE), working 43.5 hours per
fortnight over three days per week, with an Accrued Day Off (ADO) included.
This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:
* Prepare, distribute and set up demonstrations and class sets of equipment and associated scientific materials for practical teaching laboratory use
* Work collaboratively with other science technicians
* Assist science teachers and other laboratory staff during science experiments
* Manage chemicals in the science department including making up solutions of known concentrations from bulk supplies
* Working independently in a science laboratory

What You Bring:
* Certificate in laboratory techniques would be beneficial
