The Registered Nurse works in the Acute Care and Emergency settings, providing care to emergency patients and acute medical inpatients. This combined unit fosters a strong collaborative team environment with Nurses, Physicians, Unit Clerks, and Health Care Aides. The rural generalist nurse provides care to a diverse cohort of patients. Unit-specific orientation is required prior to providing care. This position reports to the Unit Manager - Innisfail and supports two programs: Acute Care and Emergency. The RN is committed to open communication and collaboration with colleagues, care providers, patients, and families. The RN works as part of a healthcare team, participating in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, working to their full scope of practice.
