About the Opportunity
Australian Agribusiness is currently seeking a permanent full-time Formulator to join the Accensi team at our Lara site. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day formulation of products with particular emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency and cleanliness.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
* Set up and operation of formulation and pack-off machinery safely and efficiently
* Following production orders and interpreting batch formulation requirements
* Measuring and charging raw materials in accordance with batch documentation
* Having a detailed understanding of the fill and pack processes and quality requirements
* Supplying samples to the lab and performing QC checks
* Applying safe systems of work including the use of safety equipment, PPE and appropriate manual handling techniques
* Ensuring work areas are tidy and clean at all times
* Recommending changes that improve efficiency
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
* Minimum – High school certificate Year 10 or Tafe equivalent
* Cert 3 in Manufacturing or above (preferred but not essential)
* Direct experience within a manufacturing environment and packing lines
* Direct experience in formulation (highly desirable)
* Strong numeracy aptitude
* Experience handling dangerous goods and hazardous substances (preferred)
* Strong numeracy skills
* Basic computer literacy (preferred)
* Results oriented, takes the initiative, and makes things happen, with a commitment to meeting targets and deadlines without compromising safety or quality.
* Good communication skills with the ability to interact positively with all levels of the workforce, operational staff and management.
