About Our School
St Thomas More College is a Brisbane Catholic Education co-educational secondary college catering for approximately 1030 students. Our college opened in 1974 and from inception developed a strong commitment to the pastoral care of students. At the core of all that we do is our mission to provide a holistic education to all students. This mission, inspired by Jesus, seeks to foster in all students: a commitment to our Christian faith; a commitment to learning; and a sense of community. * Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + super (commensurate with experience)

The Opportunity
* Deliver engaging Drama, English and Media lessons that meet curriculum standards, cater to diverse learners, and foster a creative, inclusive and positive classroom environment.
* Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices.
* Collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluate effectiveness; assess and report student progress and learning outcomes to students, parents and the community.
* Work collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff to contribute to the professional life of the school and foster a positive school culture.
* Proactively engage in professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
* Establish positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and support their spiritual and moral development.
* Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
About You
* Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
* Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
* Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students.
* A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development.
Eligibility And Safeguarding Requirements
* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
* Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
